Joe Biden pardoned his son Hunter Biden for crimes that he had not even been charged with… yet… Will Americans ever stop the outrageous corruption of their politicians?

I told you so.

In my first Letter from America 1, it came out just after Joe Biden’s sad and shambolic appearance in a Presidential debate with Donald Trump, I made two predictions: first, that Biden would be out of the Presidential race within days – he was gone in three; second, that part of the delay for his leaving the campaign, would be negotiating a deal to get a pardon for his son Hunter.

Just done.

It is something that most non-Americans – and many Americans – have trouble grasping: the Biden Family ran a high-level influence pushing scheme from the heart of the White House.

It is an extraordinary story.

There are far better American journalists on this particular topic – from both sides of the political fence. I put links to two, Lee Fang and Peter Schweizer, as they both do excellent work showing the eyebrow raising nature of the Biden Family work in Ukraine and China.

On Thanksgiving Sunday evening, Hunter Biden received a free Presidential pardon. The official line is that Hunter Biden was being persecuted for his drug-addiction induced issues because he was the son of a high-level politician.

Ummmm, that;s difficult to believe. And not only because of Joe Biden’s “lock ‘em up stance” in the 1990s that put hundreds of thousands of similar young, addicted men away for decades behind bars for personal drug use.

The Presidential pardon given by Joe Biden to his son was for a range of non-charged crimes from 2014 to 2024. Yet, Hunter Biden has not been prosecuted for any crimes between 2014 – 2016 and 2018 – 2024. In fact, the pardon is one of the broadest ever given by any president for any crimes. It even gives Hunter Biden protection for any crime he “has committed or may have committed”. The pardon insulates him from ever facing federal charges for anything that he could have done – and ipso facto his family – committed during that period.

A Politico article, quotes a former Department of Justice official as saying, the pardon is unprecedented.

“I have never seen language like this in a pardon document that purports to pardon offenses that have not apparently even been charged, with the exception of the Nixon pardon,” said Margaret Love, who served from 1990 to 1997 as the US pardon attorney, a Justice Department position devoted to assisting the president on clemency issues.

The Democratic Party claims that this that Biden did this to protect the son from a vindictive Donald Trump regime. There is some substance to that fear. Former right-wing-man of Trump, Rudy Giuliani, brought out a book last month entitled, “The Biden Crime Family: The Blueprint for Their Prosecution”. However, even the Washington Post editorial board, normally a Democratic sounding board, writes of the “extraordinary breadth of Hunter Biden’s pardon”. And other Democratic politicians were even more outspoken about their lame-duck President,

Sen. Gary Peters of Michigan called it “an improper use of power.” Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Washington, also a Democrat, said, “No family should be above the law,” while another Democrat politician declares that it “further erodes Americans’ faith that the justice system is fair and equal for all.”

Washington Business As Usual

The old school Republicans never made the Biden Family connections the scandal that you may think it deserved. It is partly because the good old boys in their Party – step forward Mitch McConnell – have similar issues in their closet. Indeed, the top level politicians of both parties have done themselves very well. There is a long, ignoble tradition among this crop of American politicians of becoming far, far wealthier over the political careers. God bless, America! There is even a mutual fund that tracks the investments of American politicians.

So for now, regular Americans expect that there will be a brief media storm and fury over the pardon then the political class will forget it and will carry on with their business as usual.

Joe Biden is gone.

He will resign as the President of the United States of America.

Biden will give a moving speech. You know the form, something read from the tele-prompter about giving his all for his country yet his time has come to pass on the torch on to the next generation.

But this speech will come, have no doubt about it. If you a Democratic Presidential candidate you cannot have political barons like Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, cultural icons like George Clooney and the secular bible of thought for Democratic Party members – the New York Times all telling you to resign.

Worse you cannot have so many prominent party funders telling you the same. American politics is run by and for powerful corporations who fund this world. Last week, a host of powerful Silicon Valley types got together to sip Perrier water and discuss when and how Joe Biden should resign and, most importantly, who should replace him. The invite list was a whose-who of the American Power world. If you had a deep state, the meeting pretty much showed one significant section of it.

A Presidential contender cannot have much of his funding base and senior colleagues publicly telling him to quit without him having to fall on his sword.

So Biden is going.

Why then does the Biden faction have their man remain in the White House? Part of the reason is because of something that is well-known here but not particularly followed outside the country – the number of really troubling criminal cases against the Biden Family.

Here are the undeniable facts from these cases:

1. Joe Biden flew into China in 2013 on Air Force 2. He was the Vice-President of the United States. He was on official business – to stop Chinese expansion in the Pacific Ocean. Two weeks later, for purely coincidental reasons, his son signed a billion-dollar deal with a Chinese government-linked firm. The Chinese military expansion did not stop.

2. At the same time in Ukraine, his son was being paid $50,000 a month to sit on the board of directors of Burisma a company linked by prosecutors to corruption allegations. His son had no experience in the energy sector. His father, Joe Biden, boasted publicly that he had ensured the prosecutor investigating the company was fired.

These are the pure, simple facts. Sadly, they have been over-laid by Democratic media operatives claiming that all this linkage to his son was about him supporting an addiction-plagued family member.

The Republican journalists who uncovered these cases do not focus on them rather the next week, they will write sensational headlines if a Democratic politician forgets to wear a flag pin or salute a soldier.

What they show, however, is that the Biden Family had an outrageous scheme of conflict of interest if not outright corruption going on from the very White House. Thus the Biden Family needs an exit strategy. They need the kind of deal that got Yeltsin to hand over power to Putin in the corruption plagued days of post-Soviet Russia, when Yeltsin family members had looted the Russian version of Fort Knox, yet where never prosecuted.

Someone, somewhere is negotiating such a deal with the power brokers of the Democratic Party. Some form of ex-Presidential immunity so that Joe Biden can walk peacefully away from power.

It may help that Joe Biden’s de facto Chief of Staff is, now, Hunter Biden, the son linked with all the corporate deals.
